Have you noticed that time and again Labour have refused to give any detail on contentious issues and policies because they know such policies will not be popular with voters, but as they become increasingly confident I have noticed they are letting one or two things slip.
Starmer recently said and I quote: there is "Huge scope for closer ties with the EU", and today Rachel Reeves said "Green policies will be pushed through".
I am looking forward to laughing at Labour voters who in 12 to 24 months time will be protesting about huge increases in gas prices, being forced to fit heat pumps and huge increases in petrol/diesel duty in order to force people to buy expensive electric cars.
Yes indeed kiddies, vote Labour, lol.

I agree it’s totally scandalous.. that they aren’t saying we need to rejoin the eu if we want the economy back on track. Time will fix that I suppose once they have a stonking majority, lol.

Since leaving the EU the UK has acted as if it were still in it . Tory politicians are afraid to cut the apron strings in case other countries don’t like it . The only political party that has a plan beyond being tied to the EU is Reform . The rest will take us back in .

Sir Keir Starmer’s most senior aide Morgan McSweeney has sparked fresh fears that Labour is planning a £15 billion tax hike, but that's only one tax. Tax rises Labour are 'secretly' plotting to impose.1. The new state pension being dragged into income tax for the first time in history. 2. Ending the 25% tax-free lump sum. 3. Making tax relief on pension contributions less generous. 4. Extending National Insurance to employer pension contributions. 5. Increasing the number of council tax bands. 6. Undertaking an expensive council tax revaluation as Labour has already done in Wales. 7. Cutting council tax discounts, as Labour is currently doing in Wales. 8. Applying Capital Gains Tax to family homes by ending Private Residence Relief. 9. Increasing the rate and level of Stamp Duty. 10. New levies or charges on bills while accelerating the roll-out of renewables. 11. Increasing Capital Gains Tax. 12. Increasing Employers’ National Insurance (the ‘jobs tax’). 13. Ending the Enterprise Investment Scheme. 14. Cutting or ending the Seed Enterprise Investment Scheme. 15. Ending Venture Capital Trusts. 16. Ending Business Asset Disposal Relief. 17. Ending Agricultural Property Relief and Business Relief. 18. Maintaining the expanded Ulez zone in Outer London and expanding road pricing beyond London. www.telegraph.co.uk/politics/2024/06/16/labour-cgt-rise-credence-starmer-top-aide-liking-tories/

Well that's obviously the thinking at Labour HQ, but they cant possibly announce it, well not before July 4th.

Very true, and it will take time but Reform UK will become increasingly stronger as UKIP did. I remember Cameron calling UKIP 'loonies fruitcakes and racists'. A few years later he ate those words as he was forced to give in to UKIP, and allow the electorate that long overdue referendum. I sense Reform UK are the new UKIP.

Behind all the rhetoric the majority of them would see us back in all whilst embracing nut zero it’s like continuity Westminster show.

Well that's obviously the thinking at Labour HQ, but they cant possibly announce it, well not before July 4th. Fingers crossed 😉 I don't understand your rationale, if indeed you have any. Starmer as DPP is on record saying he believes immigration law is racist, although I accept he would rather not be reminded of that just before an election, and he refuses to deny that 90,000 illegals in this country with failed asylum claims, will be granted amnesty. He is also adamant that a Labour government will stop the boats, and I believe him. I belive a pro EU Labour government will make it so easy for the EU to flood this country with illegals that it wont be necessary to cross the channel in a dingy, ferries will probably be provided. Hey I'm OK, it's not going to affect me or Mrs R, but it will affect many clueless people who are about to vote Labour. You reap what you sow.

As I've said many times, we haven't got a Tory government. The current shambles are not even an imitation of a proper centre right Conservative government and imo that's been the case since Brexit which is why Brexit has not been as successful as it could or should have been. The country is being overrun from the EU because of trendy left wing liberal political attitudes and politicians who don't give a toss what the majority want and sneer at the referendum. Democracy? Dont make me laugh.

The first 7 parts are not a tax on the rich . They are a tax on the successful, the prudent and the people who worked hard . They are the new Kulaks in a new era of the politics of envy.

They are the new Kulaks in a new era of the politics of envy. ... and lo, the unelected presidents and commissioners, the gods, ordained that mass immigration will happen and Europe will forever be changed, and if the people complain they must be punished, shouted down as racists and heretics, and be forced to pay for their heresy by lower living standards. And the gods from their tax payer funded ivory towers looked down at the struggling masses, and they approved.

Couldn't help noticing in this evenings bun fight that Starmer was asked no fewar than nine times (That's right, 9 times) how he would deal with illegal immigrants, and not once did he give a straight answer. He prevaricated, he was evasive, he obfuscated, he sidestepped, in short, he refused to say how a future Labour government will deal with illegals.
Hands up anyone who's surprised...
