An interesting article below. It discusses the large number of young people in Europe voting for parties like the AfD in Germany, RN in France and in sizeable numbers in places like the Netherlands, Sweden, Belgium, Italy and so on.
They've been brought up on a diet of being more 'sensitive, environmentally friendly and socially and justically aware'. This 'progressive' generation were even afforded the lowered age change in vote in places like Germany and Belgium to 16 and 17.
How did Gen Z pay the arrogant elites back? Well, a sizeable proportion of them voted in right-wing populist parties! The left wing elites were confident that the youth of today didn't care for immigration and cared more for crazy green net zero policies.
It hasn't quite worked out like that for the intelligentsia headquartered in Brussels, has it?
Let us not forget, Gen Z have been brought up with 'trigger warnings, safe spaces, prospective cancellation' if not conforming to the new norm of groupthink around social justice, and environmental issues. This is all they know. And perhaps many of
them are tired of it already as they see the populist right who are more refreshing and different to what they know. It seems that for many of Europe's youth, right wing populism revolts against the norms they've been spoon-fed since leaving school.
Are Europe's young starting to lash put against a stifling atmosphere of political correctness as Lauren Smith says?
Have the intelligentsia again, counted their chickens before they hatched in arrogantly believing that all would follow them down this dystopian and humourless path of mass immigration and making oneself poorer to strive for green policies?
