Isn't the law you can stay and work for 3yrs after you done your course .

We don't need foreign care workers when JoG is willing to do their job. They usually get the minimum wage and a bus ticket to clean their nails after changing the oldies incontinence pants. I will pass John's name to the local social services

"She came here legally from Nigeria, initially as a student, but now on a work visa."

in Why is she a free loader when she come to work in Social care hope you never find your self or your family in need of social care I really don't Abusing the terms of the student visa means she should be on tomorrow's flight to Lagos. Apologies if I missed something in the link, or there's other info available, but I can't see where there's info that she's abused the terms of her student visa, or not finished whatever course she was on, or is working illegally in a job she was offered in a sector where:
Low pay, poor working conditions and job insecurity has resulted in more than 100,000 unfilled roles – a number that far outstrips many other industries. Rising demand and an ageing population means the situation is likely to become even more dire, with more than 400,000 extra jobs needed over the next decade or so. As a result, the industry is increasingly reliant on overseas workers to staff care homes and help provide other vital services.
About a quarter of people [Britons] of working-age — nearly 11 million people — do not currently have jobs.
If only 0.5% of these could be trained in care work, there'd be no need to import care workers...

Thanks, it does help to read the article properly. She' s now on a work visa, so now I really don't see the problem.

Apologies — our postings overlapped.
But as there is disquiet over employing overseas workers, why are more local people being trained and employed in roles that urgently need staff...?
