conservative party the party of high taxes .
Despite the increase in the tax burden since Labour came to power, total government receipts
on the Treasury’s definition have averaged 37.5% of national income over the last 14 years,
which is lower than the 40.2% average under the Conservatives between 1979 and 1997.

We all know the real real leader is Blair, he's already setting things up to cozy back up with the EU, he's promised Starmer a good little number in the EU if he behaves himself .... we've all been stitched up, in fives years time this country will be unrecognisable.

TTL, it's one thing to not like the Tories, but if you don't imagine that people will be grumbling about how bad Labour are, a few months from now, you're kidding yourself.
And most of us remember how bad Labour were last time, which is why Labour have been in opposition for so long despite the Tories being crap.

In 1996 i was turning over half a million and personally taking a salary and benefits package greater than the prime minister’s basic. No one can beat parliamentary bungs and perks.
With days of taking office Blair sent ministers to India to import freeloaders with falsified qualifications to undermine my business and that of 1,000 others
Within months of my successfully having a select committee tear down this scam as illegal, blair moved to deny companies like mine the right to list x status
If blair has bern in charge in 1939 you’d be speaking german
In Wales, today, plaid bewail the lack of opportunity in high tech industry for young people.
In Wales in 2004 they applauded a labour backed planning committee decision that a high tech bioscience venture was an unwarranted intrusion of the english language into the Lleyn peninsula.
Strangely the Croatians thought not the slightest like that which is why the venture is now running on Brac island in the Adriatic
If Labour is tbe party of small business then i am a woman

There are many areas today that are unrecognisable thanks to the last Labour government and the current Tory government.
Mass-immigration and the EU rapid expansion happened whilst Labour engaged in illegal wars. As we can see today, the establishment is very pro-war and even screaming about conscriptions. The establishment clearly relies on war as a distraction.

Well for all the hype the manifesto was pretty devoid of any significant measures to increase growth. The only thing that really helps is the continuation of Business expensing - but we already have that and growth is dire.
Bit of a nothing burger.

I do hope that they put in place policies to increase growth - but we need to see some detail rather than just some bland words. To our horror the detail will be revealed, after July 4th, when everyone who voted Labour will have plenty of time, about five years, to regret their actions.
