They've already made 2 cuts, took it from 12% to 10% in January, then from 10% to 8% in April. Foolishness is repeating the same thing again and expecting a different outcome. Where I'd agree with you is their failure to read the room.

I'd consider voting LibDems just to go on the log flume tbh... 😂 They are the party who are promoting the most pro European vision though. Labour have backed away from it, not bold enough.

Cut VAT, drop it to 5%. Cut duty on booze to 5%. Freeze the tax rises on tobacco and vaping. Reduce corporation tax to 10%. Have a 50p rate of tax for those earning more than £200k a year. Have a 60p rate of tax for those earning more than £1m a year. And have a 65p rate of tax for those earning more than £10m a year. Reform capital gains tax and graduate it with an additional tax for capital gains of over £1m set at a tax rate of 60%.

So the Tory manifesto proposes a 2% cut in NI, to be paid for by the sick and disabled.
It's almost like they've run out of ideas.

So why weren’t you on it with william ‘the hat’ hague I may disagree with him politically, but I've got 1000% more respect for him than the current rabble.

If i was asked to come up with a justification for this, the only one that makes any sense to me is the fact Sunak and Hunt have ssid they wish to see a progressive drop in NI until it is no longer levied. It’s quite a gamble though

Tory manifesto not to Starmers liking... ....and yet.. -- "To win the leadership Starmer said that the 'Corbyn-style manifesto' should be treated as the 'foundational document'" -- Even if true, its pretty shitty (Rightist) of you not to move with the times as Starmer has had to do.
