Sitting here having my breakfast watching the rain pissing down outside. Checks the weather app on the phone and sees that no improvement expected for the next 10 days. Although the app did helpfully suggest that I wear sunscreen between 10 and 5 today... Boiling in our own sweat, we are. Is that sunscreen between 10 to one, and 5 past one?

When the sun is shining it’s global warming, when it’s peeing down and miserable as it invariably is that’s just weather innit? I'm so sceptical about so many things, I'm thinking of changing my name to dubiswhite. I'm sceptical about news about various wars. I'm sceptical about the climate emergency. (I believe that climate changes, not that we can do anything about it) I'm sceptical about every word that leaves the mouth of a politician. I'm sceptical about the statistics on Covid deaths, even more so on the lives saved by the jabs. I'm sceptical about the organised Church. I'm sceptical about the motives of the left. I'm sceptical about the Met Office and their measurements, their colour maps telling us it's hot when it's warm. I'm sceptical about everything. It's currently wet, windy and felt like October when we were out shopping. We can't do anything about the weather or climate as the World is too big. Let's stop lining people's pockets in the name of ecology, but, at the same time, let's clean up the air and our coastal waters. Rubbish and pollution in the sea is more of a threat than the sea rising. 6 inches in 100 years is manageable. Pollution killing the fish is not so, nor is radioactivity from Fukushima spread round the world, giving us cancers. Now that's a tangible and already present threat.

What's going on is aircraft are thinning out the Ozone layer so the Sun is stronger in Britain. Cities are also hotter than the countryside even if further north.
300 years of deforestation that is never on the comparison charts.......

Was it my imagination … but didn’t we have clearer blue skies during lockdown/Covid … ?? I seem to remember gazing up at the blue skies a lot during those 3 years thinking how clean and clear the atmosphere was … asthma sufferers were feeling better … and so was the weather. Now air travel is as busy as ever … more particulate aviation fuel pollutants are dropping micro particles in the atmosphere creating seeding nuclei for large droplets of water … creating denser clouds holding extremely heavy volumes of crop damaging microburst weather.

On Microsoft weather which means using their browser and them trying to manipulate you, which I ignore, you can get them to plant a tree for you or several if you try hard enough, so me being a rather a believer of looking after your own corner of the eco system, have been doing so, so I expect proof they have planted one locally for me. If not, they will be getting a visit from my fellow ecologists.

And I don't want to hear any of your global nonsense about it, because I am only doing the same as Charlie and reducing my carbon footprint which in actual fact is tiny compared with his.
