It's what you voted for, isn't it? Abolishing freedom of movement and taking control of the border.
You were probably too thick to think through the likely consequences of your choice but that's your funeral.

How do you think the Daily Mail and the Faragistes would react if 250 French paratroopers just 'dropped in' for a visit to commemorate, say, the Anglo-French victory against Russia in the Crimean War?
Wouldn't they insist that the authorities check their particulars 'just in case'?

So they'd quite relaxed about any EU armed forces just dropping by for a 'look-see' and wouldn't want to know who they were?
I though Brexit was all about doing away doing away with freedom of movement.

I hate to rain on your parade but we have always had to produce a Passport to enter France - Brexit has absolutely zip to do with it.

The difference now is that it has to be stamped to ensure you leave within 90 days.

So what? Who can afford a 90 day holiday?

Lots of Brits have second homes on the Continent and many Brexiteers amongst them will certainly be ruing their decision to vote leave. As far as other visitors are concerned, it doesn't matter whether you plan to stay for 90 days or not. You will still have to join the queue along with the Russians, Congolese, Indians etc to get your passport stamped.
And if you plan on coming back at some time you need to make sure they stamp it on the way out too otherwise you'll be in all sorts of pain the next time you turn up.
That didn't happen pre-Brexit.

And the 40-odd million who spend their annual holidays in the EU or visit on business, no empathy for them either?

Filched from another thread... ...Yes I'm aware of this incident, I'm also aware that today British, Belgian and US paras took part in a D Day jump to recreate events of June 6 1944. Sadly today was slightly different insomuch as, the British paras were required to show their passports to French border authorities when they landed on French soil. You think I'm joking? Macron should be utterly ashamed. www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-13501949/Fury-French-immigration-British-paras-passports-D-Day-jump-Normandy.html Typical petty EU/French bureaucracy. The cheese eating surrender monkeys set up a customs post in the middle of a field to check British paras passports. And in other news: EU/French authorities fail to spot hundreds of thousands of criminals dragging dinghies down French beaches en route for England.
