There are 35 million passenger cars in the UK, so something has to give.
Yes but we have online shopping now and working from home. If the proles want to spend their days driving around on roads, it is their lookout. Perhaps send your kids to a local school rather than a half way across the country. Kids go to school and like to see thier friends and a lot of this is done by car. others like to go to play sports or to the beaches in summer. A lot of people still like to try clothes on before purchasing and people like to see the freshness of the food. Being an 'AI' person suits some not all.

Have a think about that one, but think in terms of proportion and you might get a clue to my point.

Here's something else to get the europhobes in a tizz...
What's a "europhobe"? After all, the UK only voted to leave the EU, which isn't Europe and just some bureaucracy made up of dictators. In fact, the biggest EU supporter on this forum moved to the continent to become closer to the Reich and further from the mass-immigration that hit the UK. It's a word made up by fascists to feel better about the democratic rejection of their EU dream. The EU is not Europe. It's 27 countries. We're Europeans too and always will be, we just objected to the obscene expense of EU membership and the shitty rules it imposed.

And it's true the EU is not only (continental) Europe It has nine outer regions:
• French Guiana, Guadeloupe, Martinique, Mayotte, Reunion Island and Saint-Martin (France) • Azores, Madeira (Portugal) • The Canary Islands (Spain)...

There is no such thing as a Europhobe. The EU is not Europe. It's a badly run political project which needs reform and hasn't been. If it had been, I'd have considered voting to stay.

That’s as wrong as saying there’s no such thing as an earlobe. A phobe is someone who hates or has a fear of something, especially in a way that is extreme or not reasonable — therefore EUrophobe seems a reasonable construction, just as any contravention of the law by an administration gets the suffix “gate”. The only thing we appear to agree on is that the EU is not all of Europe. But then, neither is it totally in Europe. It’s the UK’s Thatcher government that can boost the UK’s reputation in the EU by claiming it formulated the operation of the single market — and that would still benefit the UK if it wasn’t for Far Right Ludditeism…
