Polls mean very little in a general election. People are fed up with the tories but everyone I speak to does not feel labour are the answer. To be honest, I think very little of what is happening to this country is able to be solved by any party. It’s pretty much run by the global davos lot and there’s barely any point in a government apart from to give us something to argue about and give us the impression of democracy.......Election policies and promises mean very little too as there is zero accountability. Vote in whoever you like and they turn around and tell you that xyz policy is not feasible now or they will enact it before the next election. When was the last time an elected government actually achieved it's electorial mandate? Never that's when. Zero accountability for failing to achieve even half of what they promise. The whole electorial process is a farce and it's even more unbelievable that the public goes along with it. Generation after generation and nothing changes, except the state of the county gets worse due to poor governance. I suppose it could be worse, we could be living under a dictatorship like the EUSSR while public funds are syphoned off to their Swiss bank account but give it time if starmers crew of no hopers get in
Tories cut gap with Labour to 12 points: Rishi Sunak makes shock recovery from gaffe ridden opening week which saw him make election speech in the rain and pose at the Titanic yard to surge up polls as Keir Starmer flounders over Diane Abbott dilemma....

There is only one poll that counts and tat is going to be held on june 4th...You should have read my OP. Only dumbfucks take any notice of the polls.. July actually, but the point counts. The only poll is, on that day, how many will still vote for their own downfall and how many will turn their back on politicians, I wager a lot more will be turning their backs on them than will vote for more of their own downfall.

Labour should be on 60% against this rabble of a government . That they are not gives some indication of how useless they are which will make this the election the battle of the not so useless . What a choice we have ,the conservatives a party that is basically re-printing its 2010 manifesto (maybe they will get around to it if we give them another go) V a Labour party with a leader who will be crushed on the world stage and a front bench that frankly gives me the shivers
If you dont fancy useless v more useless we can always vote for someone else but that just makes useless look more useless when useless is in government .
Still gobshite Rayner is out of hiding ,is there hope for useless after all ?

Abbott will make trouble for him, if she can't get her own way she will play her usual race card against Starmer, no one has the guts in the Labour party to tell her to her face she's a washed out senile racist bitter horrible nasty dumb fuckwit, nothing to do with her being black, but that's the card she'll be playing.

The most recent poll is one which was published today by YouGov for SKY News, and it shows a 27 point lead for Labour.
One published yesterday by Redfield & Wilton shows a 23 point lead for Labour, as did another poll by Survation.
It is true that anything can happen in 5 weeks, the polls could narrow, but the problem I think the Conservatives have got is that they are not announcing anything meaningfull for ordinary people. On the one hand we have Labour promising to get rid of the NHS waiting list backlog, and the Tories promising to bring back National Service.
What effing use is bringing back National Service for someone waiting for a knee replacement, or for people going to food banks because they cannot make ends meet.

They will have to wait even longer fiddles when or if starmer infests no 10

There seems to be trend emerging:
Any poll that shows a huge Labour lead is trustworthy and should be believed. Any poll that shows the gap is closing is far right extremist propaganda and should be ignored.
At least, that's impression you get when listening to lefties.

Monster raving loony party will reduce the NHS waiting list by using a smaller font.
On this one occasion, I agree with Witchy, that the National service ploy is just a gimmick. Like all the other ideas they've had after 9 years in unfettered government which were wasted fighting the EU and fighting a virus.

I think the Labour lead is probably overstated, but I would note that the Redfield and Wilton poll was a mega poll of 12,000, so will be as accurate as possible at the minute. I do think that both undecideds and Reform voters will return to the Tories when it comes to the Xs.

There was a colour map of britain in regards to voting, britain is entirely blue with red spots. The crash of the tories is over stated, no matter how much you or i wants it, god knows what will happen.
