I caught another drama on some BBC TV channel that I had the displeasure of watching. It was a drama about spooks headed by feminist women that order all the men around. That in itself would normally ring alarm bells that there is some cultural programming going on, but then it started to get worse. It was about some sort of kidnap story connected to Hong Kong, and although I could not be bothered to figure out the whole story, I just heard one part of it where the threatened good girl woman, if she did this or that to give away her whereabouts away would be murdered by the Chinese government in a kind of extrajudicial way to cover something up I presume. The thing is that in reality the Chinese/Hong Kong government does not act anything like that. The rule of law in Hong Kong is pretty advanced and on par with any advanced industrial economy. I felt this was an overt way of implanting false ideas into the heads of the proles. Mind you, ask what the BBC broadcasts which is brainwashing free. The weather perhaps? Nope - not even that. They have changed the colours so where we had green on the map once we now have orange and red. Global warming? No, it is the map colour key! |

If you look back at the history of art, in classical art it was partly a means of communicating the scriptures to those who could not read and write, which in times gone past were practically everyone bar the church and the elite, and then it was partly to communicate a philosophical idea to the viewer. Looking at classical works they are often allegorical, although today the meaning is often lost. For example the painting Lady with an Ermine means purity because it was believed ermines were very clean animals. I don't think people of today would see it in this way.
This classical art continued on for many centuries until we got to about 1870 where French Impressionism was being developed. It was frowned upon at the time and galleries refused to hang it because it was seen as superficial and frivolous. They believed then it was an attack on art to dumb it down. Impressionism crossed over the turn of the 20th century, but shortly after we had the rise of the avant-garde which is where you get what you might think of as leftwing today coming in. It was anti-church and was much like a leftwing collection of protest groups. They all had in common that the traditional art was bad and needed fighting.
So if you ask when did it all change, I think around 1870 was the time. We had the influence of Marx in this period as well. Art was the first area they would dominate before moving into things like the October Revolution.
