Farage has so little confidence in Reform UK that he has announced he will not be standing: www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-69052837Reform UK are such a joke that even their founder will not stand for them. All The Best That's not it. He's never wanted power for himself. If he'd gone back to the Tories, as his former accountant Craig Mackinlay MP did he could have been a minister or even Prime Minister. He went into politics to influence and bring change, not to have power for himself.

He is not even close to being Ministerial material, he just isn't. 2) No, he's a rabble-rouser - he wants to rock the boat, but then have absolutely no responsibility to the people thrown overboard by his rocking of that boat. Just watched Tice on the Ch4 news, the man is a political fantasist with little connection to reality. If he and Lee Anderson are the best Reform UK can muster they are not even a real threat to the Lib-Dems, much less the Tories. All The Best

All The Best What he is quoted as saying in the article is " the GB News presenter said he would "do my bit to help" the party, but now was "not the right time to go any further". I think that is quite clear as he has stated in the past he will not stand for election at this timeAnd yet several news sources are reporting it was rumoured he was about to announce his candidacy as early as next week. That he chose not to because Sunak set a July GE, and Farage would rather go cosy up to Trump and bask in his reflected vainglorious light rather than fight for what he thinks is right for the UK shows that he is not a Patriot, just an agitator. All The Best

I believe Pacifico covered the relevant bits somewhere on this forum. There is no point wasting time on the hardline far-left. If you give a damn, it's the ordinary genuine working class and middle classes who need to be kept in the loop.

It's rather instructive that those who are most bothered by the decision taken by Farage are those that claim to disagree with him.
It's as though they are looking for reasons to be offended.

Yes even when he has made it quite clear he is not standing for election at the GE, why are those of the left so worried about him, he is only one man
