He's a Prime Minister of Britain and as such should be leading our country in paying our respects. I'm disgusted at his lack of respect for our veterans and fallen. I thought this was just Islamists who don't much care for his Indian heritage. You must understand that D-Day is all about the publicity for politicians who just want a few pictures in the papers. |

Just think. On July 5th a Labour government will quietly begin the long process of getting us back in the EU. I look forward to it. Er, no. That's not in the manifesto. Besides you couldn't keep us in with a rebate, with opt outs from Schengen and the Euro. Unless the EU actually reforms, your dream is over. I don't think Labour is going to take us back in either, though they probably will seek a closer economic alignment. But the comment of mine you quoted was just another attempt to trigger the gammons around here, lol. Insofar as rejoining the EU is concerned it is probably a distant goal but it is never going to happen unless the public are solidly behind it, and definitely wont happen in the next five years |

The Indian soldier pictured received the VC in Italy, not Normandy.
No Indians participated in the Normandy landings nor, to my knowledge, in any of the actions in NW Europe from D-Day to the German surrender.
