If all thieves knew they would get a good hiding they may be less inclined to steal in the first place. My only concern is that Sainsburys, who are known to be very woke, and the police may sympathise with the thief which means staff who did the right thing may be disciplined when in fact they should be praised and rewarded. Who knows they may even be sacked or charged with assault, perhaps in order to appease an aggressive minority they may be guilty of some jumped up hate crime, I mean the thief was shouting allahu akbar. |

Yep. Let's face it: The staff are probably sick of these arseholes and they know they'll get no justice from the system. I think that a lot of crime could be prevented if a few more of these scumbags got a good shoeing.

That's about £30 per household per year.
The inflation was about 5% on average, so that leaves 20% difference.
Now the average car insurance in the UK is £635 so they are thieving £127 per car.
If it is OK to give the shoplifter a kicking, the surely you would scale things up to a broken arm for the insurance broker. Just because he is a thief in a suit eh?
