The man was Moroccan and he came to us and converted to the ways of the good book, or so it seemed to some Church of England lackey. It appears he could no longer live in Morocco safely because of his faith. You know where this is leading. The trouble is our system seems to either have the intelligence of a slug or otherwise it is corrupt.

Morocco is another shithole dictatorship, I'm surprised you're not recommending a partnership with it.
At any rate, that "asylum seeker" could have crossed into Melila or Ceuta, which are sovereign Spanish territories on the North African coast.
