I was told that old meters , especially gas meters become less effective after time . So your new effective smart meter will increase your bill.

I got a little gadget from China where you plug an appliance like a fridge in, and it will give you all the stats on consumption, cost etc. It cost about 7 quid and actually works! Why? - what are you going to do if you don't like the results. turn the fridge off? I had two of them. I could figure out which is more economical. Also I wanted to know if getting a new one would save much leccy. It's one of those gadgets that is more useful than you think. You can diagnose a problem if an appliance is not drawing the right amount of power and so on. For the money it was a good buy. |
