Huge EUSSR tantrum as Brexit allows UK to stop Europe's fishing boats hoovering up our eels....
Brussels has reacted with fury to Britain's decision to ban the fishing of sand eels, and the two sides now look set for a major dispute.
The UK insists it is using its hard-won Brexit freedoms to protect its environment and sea life from overfishing.
The EUSSR, however, claims the move will profoundly affect its fishing sector and endanger jobs.
Brussels has accused the UK of breaching the terms of the Trade and Cooperation Agreement (TCA) signed after Brexit, and has triggered a legal challenge.

Totally support the government on this . The management of our fisheries and the protection of our waters was a key component of Brexit for many of our coastal communities .
Its not as if eels are even a human food source , they are turned into fertiliser or fishmeal and fed to pigs .The Danes should be thanking us as their bacon tastes shit because of it .
If I want fish for breakfast I'll buy a kipper .
The EU's complaint that it will cost jobs isn't really our problem ,this is the same EU that was chuckling when some companies moved to Europe after Brexit with a 'we told you so' attitude . Well we are now telling them .
Having said that its a bit late for this government to be playing hardball with the EU ,about 8 years too late .

I think most of the shit in UK waters is home produced, and is getting there with the aid of the water companies. |

Though be aware that in stating so boldly through the filter of your own assumptions what I supposedly actually think, you manouvre yourself very effectively into a position where you are certain to be talking shit. lol And I don't give a fig about upsetting the EU though I dont devote my life to doing so.
