KHARNAGE.......
Speaking to MyLondon, Khanage has set out his vision for tackling crime in the city: "I'm not complacent at all; it's still too high. We've managed to, despite austerity, despite the population rise, to reduce homicides, gun crime, young people injured with a knife, and burglaries as well. But it's still too high.

"The Office for National Statistics (ONS) reported in April that knife crime in London hit a record high of 14,577 offences in the year to December. This represents an increase of 20 per cent in 12 months."
But don't worry - Khan will start banging on about Gaza soon.. Priorities dear boy..priorities..

No description of the attacker then. I wouldn't be surprised if he is a recent arrival to our shores. To all those who would protect these people and prevent deportations - imagine this poor woman was your Mother, Sister, Aunt etc. RIP.... What passers-by said as they desperately tried to save life of woman in her 60s stabbed to death in the street for her handbag...... Passers-by asked a woman in her 60s who had been fatally stabbed in broad daylight for her handbag whether she could hear them as they desperately tried to save her life. The woman, who has not been named, was attacked in north Londonistan yesterday after she refused to give a thief her bag. The Metropolitan Police said it received reports of a stabbing in Burnt Oak Broadway, near the junction of Limesdale Gardens in Edgware at 11.50am. Land and air ambulance officers treated the woman for stab injuries, but she died at the scene. Her next of kin have been informed. In graphic footage, members of the public can be seen rushing to the woman's aid in the aftermath of the stabbing. The woman can be seen lying motionless and unresponsive in the middle of the road. www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-13404443/passersby-tried-save-woman-60s-stabbed-death-street-handbag.html

Brazen criminality is rife in the UK. Theres a shocking lack of respect and accountability anymore. I'd like to think the police commissioners and regional mayor's do joined up thinking to tackle this problem. But effective police recruitment, tougher sentencing and more jails would be a good start. The threat of crime, particularly violent crime is becoming quite pervasive. Horrific moment two people including a woman are violently mugged by thugs near London Euston station - leaving victims sprawled on the floor as capital is rocked by crime...... www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-13409169/woman-mugged-Mornington-Crescent-station-attack.html
