Thousands of people are preparing to take to the streets in Dublin in a mass protest over the number of migrants in Ireland. So far it's peaceful, but it's only just started. I just listened to an Irish politician who said Irish people should be housed before migrants from the EU, sounds perfectly reasonable. And for the first time ever, Irish people are calling Sinn Fein traitors because the party is pro EU immigration.

sure. Im simply pointing out your jibe about sinn fein being called traitors allegedly by the Irish doesn't appear to be harming them in the polls. You could be looking at Sinn Fein administrations in the republic and six county and a move towards a border poll.

It doesn't matter what you call them - refugees, migrants, criminals, asylum seekers, economic migrants, they all have one thing in common: They all enter the UK from the poxy EU.

Sinn Fein has done a 180 on a few things - they are the party who are now most in favour of a hard border in Ireland.. ..how times change.

Ireland as a pro European country cannot do anything about freedom of movement from the eu , as you well know. The biggest rise in migrant groups are identified as Romanians Brazilians and Indians , two of which are non eu citizens , and Ireland is massively in favour of eu membership. Both north and south. I reckon Sinn Fein are going to solve the northern Irish issue , and embarrassment for your hopeless tories once and for all by holding and winning a border poll in the near future. Immigration is an issue all around the world red , to put the blame solely on the eu is nonsense. You are out the EU and your muppet prime minister still can't get to grips with the issue. How many of the 1.2 million migrants that came into the uk in the year ending June 2023 has sunak successfully deported to Rwanda if any at all , and how is sunaks stupidity and inability to police an islands borders the fault of everyone else?

You know in Irish politics (similar with certain Jocks too), when failed Irish policies arise the blame is lazily blamed on the evil British. Many Irish know this is bollocks though, and that it is their government who have failed them on this issue. Blaming the British doesn't wash with most. And the irony of the group who call themselves Ourselves Alone, who were once an enemy of the EU are now condemning attacks on police and setting fires at anti-immigration demonstrations, was once their stock in trade. Nothing like a like a little bit of schadenfreude.
