If we think what constitutes a proper Conservative, like the type where once the party had 3 million members, they would have certain characteristics, don't you suppose? For a start they would not be woke, a woman, a young person, but they would be learned, interesting to listen to, have a proper understanding of our history and how we got here, but above all we would expect a proper Conservative to know what to do in times of woe.
So here is a treat for you. It is a proper Conservative as one would associate with back in the good old days of more prosperous times, but in the flesh, live and active at the very moment.
I hear a million speeches by politicians rapping off what is wrong with our country, but it is like trying to tell a s blind man he can not see. The difficult problems are what is causing it and hence how we go about fixing it. This requires prodigious research. Tis the bread and butter of a proper Conservative to do his research.

I've been wondering how this chap still exists these days. It turns out the answer is what one has come to expect.

Good clip. Starkey is an excellent speaker, the reason the left dislike him is because he talks common sense and tells the truth, and he doesn't sugar coat it for the benefit of thin skinned lefties.

Good clip. Starkey is an excellent speaker, the reason the left dislike him is because he talks common sense and tells the truth, and he doesn't sugar coat it for the benefit of thin skinned lefties. Yes I was genuinely impressed by that. He comes across as something of an expert in constitutional affairs and has a great understanding of history. I'm very rarely impressed by the intelligence of a British politician these days, but this is the kind of guy I would make a special effort to make sure I vote if he were running in my district. The main attraction here is he has done his own research, found out exactly how Blair stuffed us, of which few are really aware, and so he has something to report. As for the rest, it is a case of 'I've heard all that babble before'.
In fact the host, Peter Whittle is also an intelligent man, so I guess that's why they got Starkey on. If they keep on delivering speakers of this quality then I can see the New Culture Forum doing very well and for all the right reasons.
