There’s a lot more to do across the UK for a party that comes third out of nine contestants and even then gets less than a third of the votes of the winner. As for presenting Reform as the main party of opposition, after its dismal performance in the current local elections, I’ll leave the rich owners and backers of our Right Wing news media to feed their opinions to their audience… |

A few years later and without any MP's UKIP changed government policy and Cameron ate those words as he handed in his resignation. Laugh away. |

This should be his USP because few MPs have any experience of anything outside of politics. They go straight from being a student union knob to an politician. |

In short, Reform are not doing well under First Past The Post as they appeal to parts of the electorate where they can only take support from conservatives and thereby hand labour a victory. Past Liberal / Past LibDem / Current ScotsNat gains in popular vote may have handed victory to one or other parties but at least yielded sone seats…

I was up all night, firstly because an overnight server job failure needed my attention but then because i was riveted to the screen I thought it was at the opening of the news headlines at 6:00 that dimbleby stared right at the camera wearing a face that had sucked a bucket of lemons and said ‘The UK was leaving the European Union’ but clearly my timescale was off . But an enjoyable night nonetheless. |
