There was a report about Harlow, that there are 600 people waiting for social housing. 600, and due to get bigger from the boats just a few miles away. On a side note, how the bejesus did Harlow become part of East Anglia?
The report featured a single mother living in a one room apartment....with a baby, blaming the government.
My resp[onse to that is to transmit how my mother would have reeacted to such a situation, and by default, myself.
Firstly, that situation would never have happened, but if it did, to be on camera, moaning again, would never have happened. What would have happened, to be exposed to such would trigger intense shame, self loathing, a seroius attack on her self esteem. And the moment that she found herself in such a situation, she would have worked day and night to get out of it.
To silence those inner voices that told her she had failed, she was deficient, dependant, lacking. To depend on the government, on handouts, etc is the start of something very bad. She came here from Italy in the late 1940s, and had our own house before i was born in 1957.
And here you have it, socialism purposefully makes you dependant,....to control you. Who would not vote for handouts, free health care, its not free and is socialist sh it, free housing, free education, income support? It is good to have those things, but not like it is today, or has been.
True self esteem comes from providing for yourself and your family, the moment i would take a shilling from the government is the day i would die inside.
