The Guardian reports that a memorial to the 'lost legion' of LGBT people who have served in the armed forces is to be built at the National Memorial Arboretum in Staffordshire.
This will be made possible by a public grant of £350,000. In addition, the government is likely to sanction a £50 million compensation fund for those who were affected by the ban on serving LGBT personnel, which was lifted in 2000.
What next, one wonders.
