The deputy leader of Nigel Farage’s Reform UK has sparked outrage after saying Britain should ‘absolutely’ let migrants drown in the English Channel.
Ben Habib, the party’s Wellingborough parliamentary candidate, said asylum seekers attempting to reach Britain in small boats should “suffer the consequences” in a widely criticised interview on Wednesday.

They are criminals in the fact of what they are doing is illegal, they have been told hundreds of times what they are doing is not only illegal it is downright dangerous, which the danger has somewhat been lowered by boats on standby to pick them up, this couldn't be kept up by the growing numbers constantly arriving, some of them were going to die through their own stupidity and lack of government control of the borders.

Tobacco sales put £10,004,000,000 into the exchequer with another £1,700,000,000 from vaping.
Therefore, if your figure is correct, the true cost to society is actually £5,336,000,000.
That's less than what we'd be paying the EU in membership costs, if we'd voted remain in 2016.

Well said Ben Habib, he always did talk common sense. Why on earth should English lifeboats be sent to French waters to pick up criminals/illegals as the French authorities watch, it's mad. If the French want to allow them to drown it's their business, but it should have absolutely nothing to do with the UK. These criminal activities are taking place in French waters and the UK is not in the EU. |

It’s inevitable that a doofus will come out with something like that …. “Illegal migrants drowning in the channel should be rescued on the same principle that smokers should received treatment…..” Its a strawman and a stupid on at that . If a doofus has one more brain cell they might expand on that and claim that “ illegal immigrants colluding with criminal traffickers should not be allowed to enter the channel on the same principle that some people will never be allowed to purchase cigarettes “. It’s just as stupid though but it follows the same doofus logic. |
