I have been saddened by his death, he had my respect and admiration, one of the very few on the left. When he spoke he spoke sense, and genuinely cared for the disadvantaged, he even spoke out against mindless benefits. His energy was that of a man of peace, fairness and stability, he wasnt afraid to go his own way.
Unlike the brain washed Labour of today, its more a sect that a political party. Im sure a lot think im a head banging right winger, most of the time yes, but its not the whole story. Caring, help, even love where its due.....no party gets it right, especially Labour.
Frank Field did. In his later years he did spout the Labour nonsense, more in having too im sure. Rest well mate, you deserve good things.

Yes a true Leftie who did wear his heart on his sleeve, one of few politicians who could pass with a clear conscience. But because of your political comment I would remind you that the Tories have dominated parliament (67% of the time) since 1951. Given the history of the last 70 odd years I have concluded that Righties are obviously being misled in their belief in the Conservative Party. I put it down to the power of propaganda heavily influenced by the Tory press and the Tory propaganda machine. There is very little in their history to recommend them.

Actually yes Frank Field was a decent Labour MP, but we all know he too lost faith in them and went independent in 2018, he knew Labour were going rotten.

Labour were trying to bully its MPs over Brexit, and no one was bullying FF.

A difference in opinions, that's why he went independent. Do you always need to have things explained to you?
