Better late than never, The husband of former First Minister Nicola Sturgeon has been re-arrested in connection with the ongoing investigation into the finances of the Scottish National Party.
Peter Murrell, 59, was previously arrested as a suspect on 5 April 2023 before being released without charge.
He was taken into custody at 09:13 on Thursday and is being questioned by Police Scotland detectives.
Mr Murrell resigned as the party's chief executive in March 2023.Nicola Sturgeon has broken her silence on the investigation into the SNP, saying the situation has been “incredibly difficult”. LOL no kidding. What she means is, it's really embarrassing when you're caught with your fingers in the till. www.gbnews.com/politics/nicola-sturgeon-peter-murrell-arrest

I see that and agree — certainly, a Tory MP couldn't get the suspected misuse of thousands of pounds of campaign funds past his former campaign manager, who reported his suspicions months ago to the Tory chief whip...
Whataboutery. The thread title is Peter Murrell re-arrested. Sturgeons husband stole £600,000 from SNP coffers. What has that got to do with 'a Tory'? Comparison is not whataboutism. It's what most of us use to judge things and make decisions daily — even those of us who are fed their opinions by Tory client media...

And what about Beijing Baz, otherwise known as Labour MP Barry Gardiner. He not only employed Christine Lee a Chinese spy in his constituency office, but he accepted hundreds of thousands of pounds in donations from her. Of course, nothing to see here folks, move along.

Gardiner is someone I’ve never taken to — I think it’s his mannerisms and way of speaking. In their roles of MPs or spads, any of them should be stood down as soon as any allegations are thought serious enough to be investigated…

I can't quite see how she can wriggle out of it, she signed off the accounts, so perhaps there will be a knock on her door shortly.
I see the three resident SNP devotees are silent these days, have the scales finally dropped from their eyes and they now see we were right all along in our assessments of the SNP, not withstanding all the copious data from the Asphalt Association we were treated to.

What I was alluding to, as if you didn't know, is that fact that it would be difficult if not impossible for someone to steal £600,000 and buy a £110,000 motorhome, without his wife at least suspecting something. The pair of them should be in prison. I see that and agree — certainly, a Tory MP couldn't get the suspected misuse of thousands of pounds of campaign funds past his former campaign manager, who reported his suspicions months ago to the Tory chief whip...
Oh look over there - a Unicorn..

As I have said many times, I am not an "SNP devotee". I support Independence, but, because the SNP took their eye off the ball, I left and joined Alba. Like many others, I see the SNP as failures in that they have done absolutely nothing, since 2014, to further the cause. I will, however, vote SNP in the upcoming GE. This is because, at the moment, the party remains the avenue that realistically can move us forward to achieve the aim we are all working for.
