there has been benefit fraud in the UK for decades and decades and decades....the UK taxpayer has lost gobs of money to all sorts of fucking criminals for years. so, is this thread and the fact that benefit fraud exists a revelation to some or just that it's open to anyone that can play the system? Would it be okay if it was committed by some fat gobby northern lass pretending to have hundreds of children from legions of fathers dossing in multiple council estates....? While there is cash payouts there will be fraud . Ive worked in places where people openly took time off to go and sign on then another couple of hours to cash the giro . Of course we knew it went on . Not only that when they got their cheque from work they would go to certain Irish pubs and get it cashed (for a fee) so they didn't have to put it through their bank . To the establishment they were unemployed ,you could probably halve the unemployment numbers from the back end of the 20th C But that was mainly people just trying to make ends meet , these foreign feckers need a good kicking |

It seems only people ( as usual) who find it difficulty to get help are the Brits who have previously worked paid their way, yet cannot often not get help or support they need.

The businesses the criminals operated claimed to assist people with obtaining a national insurance number and benefits to which they were entitled.

Initially I think ID cards were dismissed across the board . The left because of Human rights issues and the right due to Libertarian views . I would have concerns and there are lots of issues with them that would need to be addressed . With so many unknowns in the country these days though I can suffer a bit of big brother IF it sorts out the illegals and as you call them the parasites . I'm with you. I was initially against them when they were mooted, back I think it was in the 90s. My concerns were based on BIG Brother, like yourself. But having worked in benefits and council tax for 25 years, I can see the advantages. Needing to produce them to the police when requested would be really good too. I’m not,the thin end of the wedge before some jumped up accredited no nowt demands to see it,you are only required to identify yourself to the police if you are suspected of criminality the only other afaik is when driving under the road traffic act. There were identity cards during the war and the great man himself had them binned as soon as after the end of hostilities. After China we are the most watched nation on earth don’t add ID cards to that before we know where we are you’ll be having a chip implanted or a barcode tattoo. |

Because we don't have a national id card. No that just won’t hold up to scrutiny You cant get a NINO without a birth certificate or for foreign workers, identity papers that got them across the border into the UK If governments are allowing fraudsters access to funds or employers are allowing fraudsters access to employment with false NINOs then either the system enforcing them is broken(it isnt) or someone is allowing work without checking identity. A real no no So what are they doing that an identity card would prevent ?? |

The wankers been charged with murder.. Man charged with murder of woman stabbed to death while pushing pram.... Habibur Masum, 25, of Leamington Avenue, Burnley, was also charged with possession of a bladed article. He will appear at Bradford Magistrates' Court on Thursday. Kulsuma Akter, 27, died after being stabbed in Bradford, West Yorkshire, on Saturday afternoon. She was taken to hospital but died from her injuries. Video from the scene showed Ms Akter's baby still in the pram, being looked after by police and her mother's friends.
