The First Minister Hamas Yousaf is enthusiastically telling us about his plans to complete under water tunnels to link the Western Isles (complete with an under water round about), these tunnels will allow residents and visitors to seamlessly travel about for business and pleasure and will also provide employment for all.
What do the team think most likely,
(a) The tunnels will be seventeen trillion pounds over budget and never get finished. (b) The allocated funds will disappear and no further investigation or action will be taken. (c) The tunnels will collapse, flood and it will be the fault of Westminster. (d) All of the above,
answers on a postcard to Bute House, the winning entry will be a lunch for two with the First Minister, but you are paying.

Isn't this like Boris's idea of a Northern Ireland to Scotland link? Hummer Useless may change his name to Boris the Builder. It's all hot air.

I think the tunnels will fail after the developer admits they won't be big enough to drive a camper van into them

The Faroese have managed to link their islands as have the Norwegians. So, why not Scotland? Oh, I forgot they are Independent countries and have full control of taxation, whereas Scotland is tied in a "United" Kingdom where we receive a mere fraction of what is sent to the exchequer. You seem to think an underwater roundabout is a ridiculous idea. Well, the Faroese actually have one!!! So it isn't as far fetched as you think. You really have a hard neck mentioning projects being over budget when, in your country, you have the never-ending story that is HS2. Scottish taxpayers helped with the finance but have neither seen, nor will see, any benefit. But then neither will most of England. It is always Westminster's fault.

It isn't the concept of the tunnels that I was mocking, it was the people you have voted into your Parliament that I was deriding. The building of the tunnels would require planning, fiscal competence, commercial acumen and diligent management. Your leaders have demonstrated their abilities on the above with the ferries and everything else they have cocked up. They might be better filling in the potholes than talking about tunnels don't you think.
This is the chap who wants to build your tunnels,

However will they be open on Sundays?

One may wonder if the enthusiasm from the First Minister to have tunnels dug could stem from the fact that his extended family may consist of those experienced in digging tunnels who now find themselves unemployed. Jobs for the وَلَد so to speak.
