The number of “honour-based” abuse offences recorded by English police forces has increased by more than 60% in two years, figures suggest, with concerns voiced that increased polarisation is partly to blame.

A 27-year-old mother who was stabbed to death while pushing her baby in a pram in Bradford has been named as Kulsuma Akter.
She was stabbed "multiple" times in the Westgate area of the city centre on Saturday afternoon and despite the efforts of witnesses and medics, died later in hospital. Her child was unharmed.
A nationwide police manhunt is continuing for Habibur Masum, 25, who is suspected of murdering her.
It was reported that Masum is on bail for assaulting and threatening to kill Ms Akter, from Oldham, Greater Manchester, before the attack.
