Eurostat figures as published in Post 1 are correct, they are not false in any way, the argument is whether they truly reflect the wealth of the regions listed... Well quite, and if not then you can't draw any certain conclusion from them. 🙄

Hence an industrial shithole will have a higher GDP than a leafy suburb. Some of the wealthiest areas will have a very low GDP because nothing is produced there. HTH.

I'm sure that Buckingham Palace has a very low GDP but I wouldn't describe it as deprived.

A rider to this is Cornwall is one of those places that the English like to go to to die, with the result that the place is full of cottontops whose incomes are low but quality of life is by and large, high.
