...Imo the people in charge see little difference between the criminals and victims of crime when it comes to the great unwashed... And, to be fair, that's often valid. Just look at the stabby gangs: All too often todays victim was yesterdays perpetrator. It actually suits everyone else to have them wiping each other out. Trouble is that it often doesn’t wipe them out . I don’t think that the people in charge see ordinary people as anything else than a homogeneous lump . |

And to them the police are just another bunch of yobs paid to keep the others in order. Which is why they don't like them either.
