20 Lancashire councillors resigned in protest at national policies being imposed locally.
The mass resignation follows the walkout of scores of Labour councillors last year over flip flops then reluctance to call for a ceasefire in Gaza.

Good idea, I am all for it ... European migrant workers who came here under Freedom of Movement rules, and who settled here, got jobs here, should be allowed to take up British citizenship, seen as they chose to remain here after Freedom Of Movement ended.
As for 20 councillors in Lancashire, its worth pointing out that NONE of the main political parties allow a "Local policy" to differ from what is the "national policy", also, local government and councillors in local government should not have any kind of Foreign Policy.
I too am a little frustrated at both the government AND the opposition for not criticising Israel enough

To be honest you would be forgiven in thinking it was a made up 'joke', but the reality is Wales are giving £1600 a month to illegal migrants, if you bother to read the article and get your head out of the sand, you will realise how stupid Labour are, and how they will just squander tax payers money on outrageous schemes like that ^^^ |

Well shut up then you silly old fool, what's the point of you coming on a political forum when you don't even fact check any of the links or topics you are commenting on, you resort to your usual insults of calling posters and media 'Liars' or 'racists', why was it 'insults and denigration' to point out a 'truthful' article exposing Welsh Labour as wasting tax payers money giving 'illegal migrants' £1600 a month for doing NOTHING.
