The Criminal Justice Bill is a new piece of legislation being introduced by the Government. The Bill contains new powers for police and local authorities to enforce against so-called 'nuisance rough sleeping' in England and Wales. These powers include being moved on, a fine up to £2,500 and even imprisonment. I'm pleased to say the government is facing a back bench rebellion. www.crisis.org.uk/get-involved/campaign/the-criminal-justice-bill-and-homelessness/I just cant work this out. The government allow hundreds of thousands of foreign illegals to land on English beaches, the hotel bill alone is £15 million a day. They are provided with free dental & medical care, free food and accommodation, free mobile phones and given pocket money. While at the same time the government are attempting to introduce legislation that will penalize people who are unfortunate enough to be sleeping on park bench's and in shop doorways. Is it me? What the hell has gone wrong?..

Absolutely NO excuse why we are spending £15 million a day, when we have uninhabitable places in the UK that the money could be invested to make them in to habitable places to live, and you know I'm going to say SCOTLAND but they don't want them. Here, Culture Trip explores the most remote islands of Scotland. Foula. Remote and rugged in nature, there is a reason why Foula was the chosen location for the film The Edge of the World (1937) – it truly is one of the most remote islands in Britain. ... Jura. ... Hirta. ... Rùm. ... Papa Westray. ... Fair Isle. LOL..... We've got the biggest lefty liberal leader Scotland will ever have the misfortune to have, so I'm sure he would **** WELCOME MIGRANTS**** with OPEN ARMS
£15 MILLION A DAY will make these Islands thriving.

Well tbh FS, on this issue I'm unconcerned with the northern reaches of Great Britain. The bill covers England & Wales, and on this one I'm pleased the government are facing a back bench rebellion. What on earth is the point of fining a homeless person £2,500 for sleeping in a shop doorway? It beggars belief that anyone could actually suggest it let alone make it law.

There's a problem red, we can't distinguish between 'genuine' homeless and just con-artists, lots of these homeless have homes, they are just there to 'beg' for drug money or other addictions, the 'illegal migrants' have already cottoned on to it, so they are at it now.
Gone are the days I'm chucking fivers in to a box for some 'homeless' person, when at the end of the day they go back to where they are staying and use that money to fund their habit, I will only give when I know they are genuine, it's becoming another money making scam, and the genuine are getting caught up in it.

Yes, I know what you mean. I've seen it, I've looked at a supposedly homeless person who was sitting on the floor begging in a busy area in town, and thought to myself, he doesn't look very homeless to me. A quick story, it had to happen... I once gave a homeless chap some cash, he was dirty, scruffy, he hadn't shaved in months. He was just sitting quietly on a step staring at the ground. He wasn't holding up a sign or begging in anyway, he looked old, but who knows. I wondered what events in life had landed him in this situation. I discreetly reached for my wallet and handed him some money, he looked up took it and said thank you. Then the fun started. A passing woman said, 'he'll only spend it on booze' and we had quite a row, no one else got involved in-fact people were avoiding us. After thirty seconds maybe minute she walked off, and my lefty daughter who was with me and never agrees with me on anything political said, well done dad.

Our kindness must never be mistaken for a weakness, we will give when we know it's genuine but please don't abuse our generosity and kindness, you are a good kind honest, caring person red, like myself we hate injustice, but we are no mugs.

Imprisonment is a solution to homelessness.

Imprisonment is a solution to homelessness. Well, yes, you could say that. Three square meals a day, onsite gym, free gas and electric, no council tax. All you need to do is build some more prisons, as we are currently chucking out those who have already been sentenced as we have insufficient room for them, and then employ more staff. I can't think of a more socialist solution, can you?

I suppose you only have to look for telltale signs, if a 'homeless' person is clean shaven, they must have access to somewhere to shave, also if you see them each day are they wearing the same clothes, is their hair well kempt, homeless wont waste money on hair cuts, there are signs to look for, but these days I don't give to any beggars, I haven't the time to suss out if they are genuine or not.

You don't think we should? I mean where else are we going to put the homeless? Close a few care homes to the elderly Andy and use them for the shit the EUSSR thrust upon our shores..
