The article itself states:
the only people really benefiting from the status quo are the smuggling gangs, making huge profit from risking the lives of others. More needs to be done to put the gangs out of business, they are drowning people. The article also points out that the smugglers were armed with pistols and knives and migrants were threatened. As far as I am concerned, any armed smuggler who threatens border officers with a firearm, if there's a clear shot to be had at them, with no risk to the passengers, shoot.

At the end of the day this big UK dream turns in to a nightmare, surely these migrants must be facing reality by now, they've been plonked in termporary accommodation, albeit probably luxury to them, so what happens next?
If they are lucky they'll be put in a LDA (low demand accommodation) left to wander around the UK no job, a bit of pocket money, so they'll be left with limited options.
1. Turn to Crime
2. Go back home

If that is the case then why does our foreign born population come to be 13.4% whilst France is about 12.5% and Germany is about 13.2% |
