Quite a long article with links but tells the tale of maintaining the narrative even affecting such supposed scientific truth purveyors as NASA.

Our overlords modify the data to enhance the apparent acceleration, and then claim the ability to use a slight non-linearity to project sea level out 80 years or so to try to scare us with a few inches of difference.
