Quite a long article with links but tells the tale of maintaining the narrative even affecting such supposed scientific truth purveyors as NASA. who managed to engage in a question and answer session with a member of the public and then stopped and adjusted the data by applying 'correction factors' www.manhattancontrarian.com/blog/2024-3-18-the-greatest-scientific-fraud-of-all-time-part-xxxii-sea-level-rise-editionThe article concludes... "What’s most interesting about all this is what it reveals about the sea level rise scare story. The claims of “acceleration” prove to be based on dubious extrapolations from data that show only very slight, if any, deviations from linearity. Those slight deviations may reflect some underlying process or may just reflect the effect on a curve-fitting exercise of one or two outlying data points. Our overlords modify the data to enhance the apparent acceleration, and then claim the ability to use a slight non-linearity to project sea level out 80 years or so to try to scare us with a few inches of difference. In the real world, the few extra inches are insignificant, and none of us will even be around then anyway. I plan to recommend to my grandchildren — all now 5 and under — not to live too near the coast in their retirement. That should take care of it. The lengths that the bureaucrats will go to maintain their scary narrative are truly extraordinary. And what’s most amazing is how many seemingly smart people don’t see through it."

Interesting article, it will of course be rubbished by people who need something worry about. The second para is particularly interesting... ... previously-reported data have been altered to make earlier temperatures cooler and later ones warmer, and thus to show an enhanced warming trend (or in many cases to replace a cooling trend with a warming trend). The altered temperatures then form the basis for hockey-stick shaped charts of world temperatures, showing rapid recent warming, and for claims from NASA and NOAA and the media that the most recent year or month was the “warmest ever.”
...this should, one would have hoped, tempt the followers of St Greta to read the rest of the article. Alas, we live in hope rather than expectation. Theoretical physicist and Nobel Prize winner Richard Feynman said... there’s no reliable scientific evidence that the rate of [Sea] rise is accelerating, or that the rise is associated with any human contribution to global warming. link
Rupert Darwall explains in his excellent book 'Green Tyranny' that scientific consensus is manufactured and abused by politicians with duplicitous motives. And there is much evidence to support this claim. But as I said, some people need something to worry about.

Manhattancontrarian "... disseminates conspiracy theories, disinformation, libel and lies". If one cannot refute the message, and since it is based exclusively on the information provided by the 'settled science' that would be very difficult, then shoot the messenger. We can see through the game now and the settled science advocates must do much better.

There is very little "science" being accepted or debated in the public sphere on this "climate debate" because 99.999% of people cannot pentrate the sheer breadth of science that it encompasses; and all those people pretending to be "climate scientists" are pure frauds because to be a "climate scientist" you'd need to be the ultimate polymath. The popular "climate debate" is simply based on soundbites and hearsay and nothing to do with scientific method.
