UK military would remain in independent Scotland for 20 year

Mr stupid at his stupid best. Apart from the fact as it stands Trident is not a independent nuclear deterrent. It is owned by the Americans. And all the pish in your jock hating brain will not alter that. But that aside. If it is on a independent Scottish soil. It becomes even less independent. But that is beyond you. Apart from that. It will be cost prohibitive to move. Not to mention under the NPT both England and Scotland will be new nations and thus under Article one of that treaty. Scotland will be prohibited from retaining Trident. And England will be prohibitive from moving it to England.  Not to mention under Article 2. Then Americans will be prohibited from supply England or Scotland with nuclear weapons. . And in any and all cases . It will be off Scottish soil within 3 years. And before you start ranting more undiluted clueless Jock hating shite. It is not the policy of the SNP to get rid of Trident. it is the policy to get it off Scottish soil. As you are about to find out with your NIMBY crackpots.  Or to put it bluntly. It is a bankrupt English problem. You could always store it in France. In terms of the Scottish defence ridicule as you put it. Your own English Tory countrymen are the fecking joke. You cannot even stop boats crossing the English channel. Not to mention Russian subs are slinking in and out of the GIUK.  It even took 24 hours for a Royal Navy destroyer to reach the Moray firth where a Russian destroyer parked for 3 days during a storm. The Royal Navy should be parked in Scapa Flow where it was in the last two wars.  The danger is from the northern approaches.
