It’s a concern when unregulated AI … in the hands of <<v. bad people>> .. will easily be able to penetrate into the darkest reaches of the Internet … and learn behaviour of the worst nature humans can perpetrate on others to get what they want.
… from date rape, to pedophilia and murder, torture, coercion and crime …. Drug cartels can afford the worst robots we can manufacture … and unlike the film “I, Robot” … the International Community /those in charge …pushing technology in the worst directions … are not imposing any regulation on chip design … to hardwire in safeguards and ‘kill switches’ … put in some controls on a v.rapidly developing situation.
Like Pandora’s Box … once certain chips are freely available … the skies the limit on the atrocity potential of some of these devices.
Refusal to regulate … is here and now … with the big players leading the field …no intention to curb their attacks on Humanity.

Now, some impulse causes the machine to move its arm. The effect would have been that it would have moved its arm downwards, causing its palm to come down on the reporter's head. That would have looked like the machine was patting the reporter's head. In that case, you and Dubdrifter would now be saying: AI patronises human being with pat on the head. In reality, neither patting nor groping has happened. A robotic arm has simply moved in response to an electronic impulse. You are simply anthromorphising. |
