The Czar has quit after "vile" attacks from both islamists and the far Right. Apparently his job was to "tackle islamophobia". But if the muslims want to tackle anti-muslim hatred surely the remedy is in their own hands. Here are a few suggestions: 1. Stop blowing people up 2. Stop stabbing people 3. Stop raping young non-muslim girls 4. Stop attacking Jews 5. Stop attacking people who criticise Islam - it's called free speech 6. Stop trying to enforce Sharia law in your isolated communities 7. Stop supporting terrorist groups 8. Stop building mosques on every square foot of land 9. Stop the illegal invasion of our country 10. Stop brainwashing children with radical islam Et cetera. If the muslims start behaving like reasonable British citizens "islamophobia" will decline very rapidly. No other group is hated like the muslims are.

Islam seems to wish to have the right to stop people saying things about it that it says about other people. It does not matter if Muslims follow to the letter what is said all that matters is that it is hailed as being the word of God. We do not protect any other religion in this way nowadays we have moved on from blasphemy and Christian hurt feelings being considered in law. No point at all in miring ourselves in the delicate feelings of another religion whose beliefs are far more dangerous to us than that of any other religion.

Interesting that the Archbishops of Canterbury and York have come out in opposition to the governments proposals to 'name and shame' extremist groups.
Not, as perhaps might at first be thought, out of concern about constraints on freedom of speech or the totalitarian repression of patriotic organisations which promote the interest of the majority population, but instead because of their concern that the move risks “disproportionately targeting Muslim communities” and “driving us apart”.

Yes I read that bit about "disproportionately targeting musilms". It's not possible to do that because about 99% of the extremism comes from the muslims. I remember the MCB (Muslim Council of Britain) boycotted the anti-terrorism "Prevent" program because it "disproportionately targeted muslims". That's why the daft govt told the people running Prevent to spend more time investigating the far Right. Ridiculous appeasement.

It's what's called 'Rowleyism', after the current Commissioner of the Metropolitan Polices.
A few years ago, prior to his recent anointment as the Big Kahuna by the Khan regime, Rowley was head of counter-terrorism policing a position he resigned in 2018. At his retirement do he gave a speech to journalists in which he drew an equivalence between Islamic terrorism and 'right-wing extremism'. Per the Guardian he went on to say:
"...The far-right terror threat was “significant and concerning” and the public should be “gravely concerned” by the existence of National Action, the white supremacist, neo-nazi group banned under terror legislation.
“The rightwing threat was not previously organised. Every now and then there’s been an individual motivated by that rhetoric who has committed a terrorist act but we’ve not had an organised rightwing threat like we do now,” he said.
He said a third of referrals to the government’s Prevent strategy, aimed at reducing radicalisation in communities, are now individuals engaged with far-right terrorism.
In his speech, Rowley draws many comparisons between Islamist and far-right groups and figures, such as Isis and Anjem Choudary in the former, and National Action and former EDL leader Tommy Robinson in the latter.
“Ironically, while Islamist and extreme rightwing ideologies may appear to be at opposing ends of the argument it is evident that they both have a great deal in common,” he said.
Rowley said both groups have a common goal of “increasing tensions and divisions in communities”. He said both reach into communities through sophisticated propaganda, as well as create intolerance and isolation by exploiting grievances. He added both also reinforce a sense of isolation by generating distrust of the state and offer “warped parallel alternatives” that undermine values of tolerance and diversity.
Rowley returned to policing as Commissioner of the Met in 2022.
He hasn't changed his views.

He’s right . Far right and Islamists have a lot in common . They could certainly live together far better than they could live with the far left. My concern is that the ‘ far right’ just doesn’t exist in the same extent as the Islamists and is certainly nowhere near as formidable. Lefties cry ‘ far right’ at anyone outside of centre .

I often hear the term 'far right' being thrown around, usually by people who support Labour and Hamas. But I havent seen any evidence or examples of far right demonstrators or far right parties since the days of the NF and BNP. So where are all these 'far right' demonstrators we hear about on an almost daily basis?

“I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again. The west needs to stop thinking that its core values are in line with radical Islam.
You see, in the civilized world, we have some core beliefs. For example, if you treat someone with respect and dignity, they will reciprocate.
The thing is, radical Islam does not share that value.
You can treat a radical Islamist with all the dignity in the world but you’re still an infidel and they want you dead, irrelevant of how you treat them.
The west needs to understand that radical Islam’s war is not about land, human rights, or anything else other than a religious ideological war on everything we believe in.
We like to give them fancy names like Hamas, Hezbolloh, Houthis, ISIS, Islamic Jihad, etc.
You can call them whatever you want, it’s all the same garbage. You can march for them day and night, but don’t kid yourself to think that if they have a chance to bring October 7th to a theater near you, that they’d hesitate for a second. They wouldn’t, and if Israel doesn’t defeat Hamas in this war, they won’t! The west is next!
The thing is, it’s not politically correct to say it, but radical Islam is a global plague. This isn’t about Israel. This isn’t about land. This isn’t about a state. This is about dead Jews and the defeat of the west.
Another example, which took me years to internalize, is that, in the west, we have morals. We have ethics. We have red lines that we would never cross. There are some things that are NEVER ok.
That is not the case for radical Islam. It’s time we internalize this. For them, rape is ok. Pedophilia is ok. Mutilating bodies is ok. Burning families is ok. Decapitating babies is ok. They have NO red lines.
The most tragic part of it all is the indoctrination of children who are taught to murder infidels from age zero.
You cannot make peace with an ideology that believes you do not have a right to exist.
It’s really time the west understands that taking their values and applying them to the world of radical Islam is both ridiculous and dangerous.
Just like no moral person thought that making peace with the Nazis was a good idea… Just like everyone understood that Germany had to be denazified, even if it entailed many innocent lives lost, the same is true for societies run by radical Islam. There is no fixing them. It’s ingrained from before they can talk…
It’s time we stopped speaking our language and started speaking theirs.
That is the only way we can effectively battle the plague of radical Islam that is slowly destroying us from the inside.”

Well said ^ couldn't agree more. The problem we have in this country is ignorance. Well meaning ignorance perhaps, but ignorance none the less.
I will never forget getting of that aircraft in Dhahran, we were read the riot act... you are Christians in an Islamic country, you must at all times respect Islamic laws customs traditions way of life etc etc... the list of do's & don'ts was extensive, particularly the list of don'ts.
Later when I eventually got back to England I saw the police meekly looking on as Muslims in this Christian country aggressively demonstrated and demanded that sharia will dominate the world and blasphemers should be beheaded.
The authorities allowed that demonstration to take place because they thought it would have been racist not to, and faced with that level of ignorance, Islam is laughing.

Rowley returned to policing as Commissioner of the Met in 2022. He hasn't changed his views. National Action is just a bunch of thugs who like a punch up. It's convenient for the govt to proscribe them so they can pacify the muslims who think they're being picked on, but they're absolutely no danger to anyone. One of them got locked up for about 23 years (IIRC) for threatening to kill Rosie Cooper but it's doubtful he ever would have done it. And Tommy Robinson is now a member of Quilliam and concentrates on exposing the muslim threat to this country. He's no threat either. He has to go everywhere with bodyguards because the muslims are trying to kill him. When he turned up at one of the pro-Hamas marches with a few supporters (supposedly to prevent the muslims pissing on the Cenotaph) the police kettled them immediately - while leaving the muslims to what they like on the memorials. Sickening. The only person ever killed by the so-called far Right is Jo Cox. Thomas Mair was declared far-Right by the judge on the basis of no evidence other than internet usage. He just didn't like Jo Cox. Meanwhile the muslims have killed hundreds and injured many hundreds more.

Jo Cox is still going strong though. Hubby Brendan is still milking her for all she's worth. His new charity gig gets a plug in today's Guardian.
About time the idle bugger got a proper job.

steppenwolf Quilliam went into liquidation and were closed down for good in April 2021. The muslims never liked it. Tommy Robinson has always been regarded as an ignorant thug by the Left but he joined Quilliam some years ago and he became very knowledgeable about islam. There was a very good program (on the BBC "The Big Question") where Robinson questioned a muslim imam called Mo Ansar - Robinson called him "no answer" because he could never answer Robinson's questions. Robinson is no fool. I would really love to hear Mishal Hussain interview him - they could sell tickets. He'd mangle her. The point is that he's moved on from punch ups.
