Lets face it guys, this culture we live in is not so great. It might be great in patches, but where it all falls down is the lies. I know a lot of people accuse politicians of lying and the BBC certainly gets a fair share of accusations, but really this lying business is ingrained in our culture and seems to be getting worse as the Christian tradition is no longer respected.
Having said that I get the impression we might be able to turn a corner. On the other side of the argument is that now we have mass digital communication we can look things up. We can check facts in Wikipedia, and there are many and varied ways the lies are being exposed. Even a good bit of hacking can sometimes help, so it is a bit of a wild west on those who like to lie and those who like to expose the liars.
As time goes on I find out more truth about the past. Often the longer something has been in the past the more time investigation has to check out the truth. We have flipped from a top-down hierarchy to a many-to-many system of information, and it is this which is working in a similar way to how science works. If you have enough investigators, eventually you will settle on the truth. In the past we relied on BBC documentaries.
I'm starting to see a pattern though. All the big things in the world, e.g. to give an example or two would say be things like the two world wars and how the global financial system works, have for a very long time been hidden to the vast majority of the population. Those working in the Square Mile would have known a fair bit more, but for all the rest, we had to believe what our elders knew, the telly told us and the teachers. Lets just fling an example regarding finance. Did your teachers ever explain what a eurodollar is for and what it is, and ditto for BBC or ITV? No probably not, but I knew a chap working in the square mile who was an expert on them but he never explained either. For the rest of us these things are not talked about. We hear far more about the latest pop fashions.
So I just give some examples, but what I'm starting to see is all we have been told, and especially the stuff we have been repeatedly told about the past, and obviously how that connects to the present, is all bullshit. We get bullshit science, we get bullshit advice on what is healthy to eat, but perhaps we are being told the truth about some relationship between soap opera stars in the tabloids. I'm saying it is the important things which are the biggest lies. Also as this goes on the rest of the population seem to follow suit.

We get whatever truth we want in the internet . If you don’t like one truth there’s always another one available.

Wiki is no good for current events because it just has links to Mail, Express, Telegraph etc, but lets say you go back to the miner's strike, then that is where you get wiki with academic links and other more substantial analysis. I'm also benefitting from other countries and what they get told. Every country tells a bit of truth, but it is not always the same bit, hence you do a 'piece it together' job.

Here, this little fact took me about 5s to find. 90% of all international loans eh? Phew!
So why did no one tell us?
It's amazing what you learn at school. I was taught all about how folk use to live in the Iron Age.

Well I am surprised its as high as 90% but as the USD is the global reserve currency it's only to be expected.

Well I am surprised its as high as 90% but as the USD is the global reserve currency it's only to be expected. Maybe try an experiment. Stand in the middle of a high street with a clipboard and ask each person what a eurodollar is. Tot up how many correct answers you get and how many passes. I think you will get a feeling of cognitive dissonance between how big the eurodollar market is and how many people even know it exists, never mind what it is. Ask a second question and ask who is David Attenborough and tot those up as well.
The general conclusion here is we have all had our minds stuffed with bags loads of irrelevant bollox whilst hiding anything to do with how the world works, how did we get to where we are and where are we heading. This is the voting public, and it is why they always vote for the same people. They are totally in the dark and vote on personality. To think we paid dearly for this education as well. It was mostly fluff.

You might like to hear what Gaddafi said to the UN just before he was killed. www.youtube.com/watch?v=0AuCRHGWM0sAnd it will make clear why he is still not alive. It's just one more huge thing that is never talked about as it should be. They were never going to let him democratise the UN.

The principle ones being it consists of many non democratised countries and the meaning of democracy is totally different in almost all of them. Usually for most it means if the people vote me in my family, my friends and relations get the chance to pilfer and steal from government agencies until you vote us out and we will lie and cheat to try and ensure that does not happen

Anyone who opposes the order and presents a threat is murdered. Often the murder is attributed to someone else like the proverbial terrorist. People forget the CIA control terrorist groups.
I think there must be a point where the whole thing collapses under the light of inspection.
