Obviously borris deliberately ignored expert advice on earlier and longer lock down. That cost thousands of British citizens Deaths Money comes second to that And your thoughts on Starmer who criticised Boris for not locking the country down for longer?.. Yes he was right like I said 1000 of lives would of been saved if he did. How can you consider money more important than lives?

I cant deny that, and I say again, had it not been for covid Boris would probably have seen a full term. But never forget that at the time, Starmer openly criticised Boris for not enforcing a stricter longer lockdown. Obviously borris deliberately ignored expert advice on earlier and longer lock down. That cost thousands of British citizens Deaths Money comes second to that What expert advice ?
All we had were a lot of hysterics screaming some different every week.

This advice The government has ignored its scientific advisers’ advice to impose immediate restrictions to stop the NHS becoming overwhelmed by the rapid spread of the omicron variant. The decision came after a Cabinet meeting on 20 December, in which members were divided over the need for stricter measures. Prime Minister Boris Johnson, under pressure from many within his own party not to impose fresh restrictions, did not rule out further measures later and said data on the threat of omicron was being monitored “hour by hour.” But experts accused the government of dithering and ignoring the latest modelling1 provided to its Scientific Advisory Group for Emergencies (Sage), which show that without additional restrictions now, hospital admissions across England could peak at between 3000 and 10 000 a day, while deaths could reach between 600 and 6000 a day.

In this case the Government was correct - the NHS was not overwhelmed.

Charlie, you're talking nonsense. The reason Boris was forced out is because of covid and Labour's very successeful partygate campaign. If covid had not happened Boris would almost certainly have continued as prime minister for a full term. After the way that Boris locked down the economy (and all the subsequent damage that ensued) he should be kept well away from any position of power. The damage caused by Covid lockdowns will be with us for decades if not for over a century - the idea that the person that imposed that damage on the country should make a comeback is bizarre.. The only reason he would is because all the others are worse shits than he is. At least Liz Truss had a vision, and a plan.

You think Boris should have locked down for longer?.. Yes definitely to save 1000s of British citizens lives. What's wrong with that. Well i think the MAIN thing wrong with that is it didn’t. You clearly have no interest in the number of people dead and dying of cancer who would not be if the twat had treated it like the flu it was. And the only Tory to blame for us not having the means to deal with it is Thatcher. She shut down the research teams including mine working on understanding at the molecular level the very pathway the spike protein exploited to enter the cells in its second stage. With that level of understanding in place in the eighties, i am struggling to find a way the plague would have been anything mire than an annoying runny nose as the second stage wiuld have been utterly thwarted. Boris might like to think on that, having been a victim of that second stage himsrlf, as i was

Boris might like to think on that, having been a victim of that second stage himsrlf, as i was if the twat had treated it like the flu it was. Misinformation Since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic, we’ve seen various posts on social media suggesting that Covid-19 is actually the flu, or that the virus is no more deadly than influenza. Health misinformation can cause direct damage to people’s physical health, create distrust of medical professionals, and undermine public health messaging. Flu and Covid-19 infections do share some similar characteristics, and can have similar symptoms. Both viruses are respiratory diseases, can spread in similar ways, and some of the same groups are at higher risk of severe illness from both diseases. But, as we’ve previously explained, flu and Covid-19 are not caused by the same pathogen. Covid-19 is caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus, and ‘flu’ is caused by different types of influenza virus. Many scientists have isolated the SARS-CoV-2 virus that causes the disease and determined its entire genetic makeup by sequencing its genome. Analysis published in May 2022 by the Office for National Statistics reported that: “[Covid-19] has been the underlying cause of death in more than four times as many deaths as flu and pneumonia in England and Wales since March 2020. Annually, deaths due to COVID-19 have been higher than those due to flu and pneumonia in any year since 1929.” This analysis looked at Covid-19 deaths between March 2020 and April 2022, and it’s worth noting that following the vaccination programme and the arrival of the milder Omicron variant, the disease has become much less likely to be fatal than during the first years of the pandemic.
