vinny They were, as buccaneer's guardian link informed us, using 'the relatively insecure Webex platform', so probably not much different to Zoom  I'm not sure the Russians can get away with exaggerating what was said. the full text is out there, which I skim read a few days ago, but whichever way you cut it the French and the Germans have for a variety of reasons sought to step things up since Christmas. |

Germany relies on Russia for gas, perhaps not quite as much as they did years ago, but they still import a significant volume. In fact last year Germany imported 55 billion cubic metres of Russian gas which added €61 billion to the Russian economy. |

The embarrassment mentioned in the Guardian article … isn’t on Germany leaking information British/NATO troops are already on the ground in Ukraine …fully engaged. … It’s the fact the British Government, MOD and GCHQ … and the BBC have been lying to the British People all along about British military SAS advisors being in Ukraine for many years now. … confirmed in a private conversation I had with an elderly stranger who let slip 2 months ago his UK Army son was out there …. when Ukraine popped up in our casual chat. Long term military advisors … working to destabilise this region … poodles under CIA direction .. in order to create military/terrorist pressure around the Crimea after VP Biden’s visit in 2014 … teaching Azov how to engineer terror attacks/ethnic cleansing operations against Russian-speaking Ukrainians … to provoke Putin to act … intervene … These are a nasty people … Ultra - Far Right Nationalist thugs working to create a military wedge … an opportunity for the EU and NATO to push further eastern expansionism … military and economic … including land/resource grabs … promised EU hand-outs in exchange for political control/using their Media to brainwash the public that the Russians were the destabilising problem here. Here is an overview of the military assistance provided to Ukraine by the Federal Republic of Germany. The assistance services consist of two strands: on the one hand there are financial resources from the Federal Government’s security capacity building initiative, which are used to finance arms deliveries and other industrial materials. On the other hand, materials are being provided from the Federal Armed Forces’ supplies. Military aid worth around 28 billion euros has by now been made available by Germany or been earmarked for supporting Ukraine over the next few years.
The funds from the Federal Government’s security capacity building initiative amount to around 7.1 billion euros for 2024 alone. The German contributions to the European Union’s European Peace Facility (EPF) come from this initiative, too. EU member states can receive reimbursement for expenditure for military assistance for Ukraine from the EPC. So far, Germany has received around 31 million euros worth of compensation from the EPF. Furthermore, there are commitment appropriations 1 for the next few years. These are currently worth about 6 billion euros.
Around 5 billion euros (2023) and 1.6 billion euros (2022) have already been spent on military assistance for Ukraine. Another 2.9 billion euros were earmarked in the first two years of the war for deliveries to be made between 2025 and 2028.
Since the start of the Russian war of aggression on 24 February 2022, Germany has provided around 5.2 billion euros worth of materials from the Federal Armed Forces’ supplies to Ukraine. In addition, more than 10,000 Ukrainian soldiers received military training in Germany. These training costs amount to about 282 million euros to date. Further expenditure, which we are not going to put a figure on here, was incurred for treating injured Ukrainian soldiers.

There's already been massacres in Chechnya with mass graves all over it, and two documented massacres in the Ukraine war, you would open the door to genocide through cowardice. Germany has suffered from Russian spies inside its security services for years:...
The revelations about a possible Russian mole inside the BND are just the latest in a string of worrisome reports of suspected Russian espionage in Germany and elsewhere in Europe. Intelligence experts say there are likely more Russian agents yet to be uncovered, and German lawmakers say there is a growing consensus that Berlin needs to revamp its security services and take a harder line against Russian spying.
