There was a series on TV (I forget which channel) called "The Piano" where they put a piano on a station and invited anyone to play. They had Lang Lang and Mika hidden away watching the players and Claudia Winkelman talking to the players. There were some absolutely brilliant players - this girl being one of them. It's definitely worth searching out on catch-up.
The best players were then invited to the Albert Hall to play a concert and Lang Lang and Mika picked a winner - but they were all winners in reality. It was very moving indeed.

Yes I saw her on YouTube, almost incredible. It is the proof of the abilities of the sensory system to influence actions which it is, mostly unwittingly, doing all the time. |
