Something I've become increasingly aware of is the BBC making some things a 'news' issue, when the issue is actually nowhere near worthy of getting two sentences on page 17 of a local free newspaper giveaway. The BBC will elevate and create 'news' to push the agendas they support. As I've got older and there is now one, two, and sometimes three generations between myself and the person I'm conversing with, I notice myself saying 'Well done Son' to males, 'And thank you Dear' to females .....shop assistants and the like. Celtic Manager Brendan Rogers, himself coming on a bit now ..... had he been finishing an interview with a youthful male journalist ... his mind about to turn to other matters, could just have easily have finished by saying 'Good Lad'. But oh my God ... if it's a female and he's finished with a friendly 'good girl' ....it's elevated to a 'news' item that requires reporting ...... and whose views do we need to canvass in order to explain the gravity of Rogers' offence ...... the campaign group 'For Women Scotland' and the 'Scottish Feminist Network' ! Talk about recruiting only those who help you build the story you want in the way you want, to push the narrative the way you want it. So the predictable jabberings from two groups with an axe to grind provide the 'backlash' for the headline. What a pity that for the sack of even handedness the BBC didn't have a quick word with half a dozen members of the public walking past their headquarters about this, 5 out of the 6 who would have told them 'For Christ's sake ..... stop trying to create a mountain when there isn't even a molehill .... and find some actual real news to report on !' link - Speech Crime Alert !!!!

The BBC News site used to have cascading style sheets that identified in the comments ‘this is where you must put a black story’, etc etc etc.
When it went to html5 the brute force nature of the diversity BS became less obvioys
