France is to be commended
Let's hope this is a pattern that is duplicated here (faint hope).

Well spotted H, excellent news. "The radical Imam Mahjoub Mahjoubi has just been expelled from France, less than 12 hours after his arrest".
France is a member of the ECHR and comes under the jurisdiction of the ECtHR, yet it seems France can deport undesirables less than 12 hours after arresting them. The reason we in the UK cant do the same is because of: 1. Lefty politicians 2. Lefty civil servants 3. Lefty Lawyers 4. Lefty NGO's A pox on all their houses. www.france24.com/en/africa/20240223-tunisian-imam-expelled-from-france-vows-to-appeal-decisionSimpleton comments like yours are seriously comical LOL The law was changed in France that allowed them to react so swiftly and deport the offender. So why doesn't the UK government follow suit, instead of leaving Righties like yourself space to make lying accusations against the Left? Pillock, pay attention. Your question was answered in my previous: 1. Lefty politicians 2. Lefty civil servants 3. Lefty Lawyers 4. Lefty NGO's

They could have developed such policies instead of concentrating on spending millions on illegal deportation policies.

I think you will find the rot set in with Blair sending two ministers to India to fill jumbo jets with Indians with fake CVs who would get handed equally bogus fast tracked visas identifying them ac C++ and java programmers. This was the start of Labour's destruction of the UK as a single entity. I was able to get a select committee to deem Blair a liar who misled parliament (by falsifying a skills shortage) and have his scam terminated, but by then about 100,000 had got in and done the damage. And because Labour refused to expel them, the danage continued. Are you seriously suggesting that one planeload of Indian programmers 25 years ago caused nearly 20 years of Tory mismanagement of the UK? Well not quite. You see, roughly a planeload a DAY were being flown in...
By the time the Select Committee ruled Blair had misled the house and the sceme was overturned, i believe some seven THOUSAND people had been imported from India and about two and a half thousand from Bangladesh. There were five hundred at the British Telecom site at Adastra Park alone, ALL working for Mahindra. The scam claimed there was a shortage of C++, Java and Database programmers. I presented evidence of a thousand british passport holders with those skills available and looking at the time of the inquiry, which rather sealed the scam's fate, but they wouldn't deport the ones already here.
And yes there's a typo in my earlier post, one zero too many, sorry

There was never a shortage of programmers or developers in the uk. Even by the eighties, tens of thousands of brits were messing about in assembler with acorns, spectrums ect.
They encouraged brits to skill up in these areas and then deliberately pulled the rug out from under their feet in act of blatant class warfare. They should have sued.

If so, looks like that's another false promise... Jeez, this like banging your head off a hard surface. Pat, Brexit including taking back control of our borders should have been, would have been perfectly straight forward had it not been for one major obstacle. The Home Office, civil servants and 72% of MP's did not want Brexit and have done everything in their power to stop Brexit and/or make it as difficult as possible, but you already know this.

The Home Office, civil service, MPs, "Lefty" lawyers, judges, the news media and other parts of the imagined "Deep State" didn't suddenly materialise as negative forces in the isolationist morass the UK voted itself into.
Now it's just a few brainwashed adherents soaking up the Right-Wing reactionary nonsense propaganda that GB News, Mail and Telegraph feed them and are too thick to see that the UK is failing and cannot operate on almost any front without international agreement and cooperation...

I don't want to live in some imagined Utopia. For better or worse I want to live in a sovereign and independent country which is governed from Westminster, not Belgium. However, it would seem my vision is far too radical for outraged lefties the civil service and the majority of MP's.

So what benefits have your sovereignty and independence brought you?
Or are you still blaming the Home Office, civil service, MPs, "Lefty" lawyers, judges, the news media and other parts of the imagined "Deep State" for this sinking ship...?

So why doesn't the UK government follow suit, instead of leaving Righties like yourself space to make lying accusations against the Left? Would the Labour Party support a change in the Law to make deportations easier? Why would that matter? The Tories have had a majority in the HOC since 2015. If the Tories really wanted to change the law Labour would have no say in it.
