My guess is that the Court of Appeals will cave in and the government will take the case to the Supreme Court. If not, then Begum loses and will appeal to the Supreme Court, or rather her lawyers will. Who are they anyway and who is paying them?
A little light digging indicates her lead lawyers are Samantha Knights and Dan Squires, both KCs and both members of Matrix Chambers.
Even though I don't won't her back has a British citizen she's entitled to Defence. You Should Know that being the defender of all things British. She aint British lefty old bean or worth defending... |

The court of appeal has just dismissed Shamima Begums appeal against having her British citizenship revoked. The first thing her publicly funded legal team said is, this is not the end. An appeal to the Supreme Court is next, followed by an appeal to the ECHR. This is costing UK tax payers hundreds of thousands of pounds and will continue for years. If the case is taken to the Supreme Court, that will be six high court appearances she has featured in. In each case she has been represented by at least two barristers, most of them QC/KC.
She was granted legal aid in 2019 and presumably that is still in place. However legal aid will barely cover the expenses of her solicitors let alone those of all the barristers they, the solicitors, have recruited to represent her in court.
Unless the latter have all done the job for nothing 'pro bono' somebody else must be funding the show. Why don't the legacy media do some proper investigative journalism for a change and expose whoever it is that is funding this charade.
That would be performing a real public service.

I am mildly surprised that the establishment have done the right thing. I would have put my money on full restoration of citizenship, vast sums of compensation, a free council flat and full legal aid to sue all those who object to having a muslim terrorist back in our midst.
