Seems that importing 700,000 migrants a year is not enough - we need more... Did you hear him say "Extreme hard Brexit"? When is that coming?

Another one of those embarrassing moments for Labour, when they were calling everyone racists, so we had to point out the majority of previous immigrants didn't think they had come up with anything approaching reality either or the present immigration policies were a good idea either. Which must make them racists as well. It seems you never stop to think before posting. LOL you never learn either. But nice of you to say I never stop thinking saves becoming diagnosed as senile. How's the diagnosis going?

So he looks around at what’s happening in the rest of Europe and how the anger is simmering just below the surface here and imagines everybody’s is going to say spiffing idea saddo old boy crack on.

It's little wonder people are seeing lots more Nigerians around. In the y/e 30.9.23, 18,000 Nigerians received visas for 'care workers and carers' and another 9,000 in the Skilled worker - health and care category (mostly nurses). In addition they were accompanied by 45,000 dependants. This is what I quite easily forecast, that EU workers would be replaced by others outside of the EU. IIRC I was thinking compatibility but someone on this forum suggested that I was being racist.

Not true Care homes have raised wages, many have offered various incentives including Golden Hello's and huge bonuses after working for several months, some have offered holidays over and above the statutory requirements. But British people simply dont want to wipe the bottoms of people with dementia or bathe them or clean up after them. Nonsense - 80% of workers in care homes are British. The reason there is demand for foreign workers is that the current rules which allow employers to pay overseas workers 20% less than the equivalent domestic wage if the migrant will be filling a vacancy on the Shortage Occupation List. I was going to say the same pacifico. My dad was in a BUPA care home in Glasgow for the last 7 years of his life until recently , and the vast majority of the care home staff were Scottish. Sounds like witch finder is getting the ground laid for another bout of new labours mass uncontrolled immigration.

Importing foreign care workers is a scam
One in four foreign care workers are working illegally in the UK according to David Neal, outgoing chief inspector of borders and immigration.
He discovered that the Home Office issued 275 visas to a care home that didn't exist and 1,234 to a company that only had 4 domestic staff!.

"Even if EVERY unemployed Londoner was trained to do the unfilled skilled jobs, there would still be a skills shortage" Think about that, he was ramming home the point that there are not enough people to fill the jobs, and so without importing both skilled and unskilled labour, how do you solve the problem. ? In my home town there has suddenly appeared dozens of young Nigerian men and women, its noticeable because where I live it is 99% white. They have arrived to fill job vaccancies in the care industry. I wouldn't be as gullible to believe every word Khan says. Sadiq Khan's Brexit figures were pulled out of fantasy land: www.briefingsforbritain.co.uk/sadiq-khans-brexit-figures-are-straight-out-of-fantasyland/The man has a political agenda. Even if that were true "Even if EVERY unemployed Londoner was trained to do the unfilled skilled jobs, there would still be a skills shortage" then you'd look further afield in your own nation to attract workers. His knee-jerk response is to claim more migration is needed. Not only that, he even states he wants more to bring their culture to London. Why, what is the purpose and plus of that, late in the day of multikulti, stabbing, capital London?
