It's an interesting case in that it's a kind of microcosm of many things that are wrong with this country. The women were clearly displaying support for Hamas's attack on Israel where paragliders were used to get into Israel and kill hundreds of civilians. So they were correctly found guilty. Yet they were given the minimum penalty possible - basically a smack on the wrist.
Investigations of the judge in the case revealed that he is a muslim who supports the Palestinian cause on social media. So the judge was clearly biased in their favour. The question arises as to whether muslims should be allowed to be judges. The religion of Islam is not simply a religion but comes with political and legal views. We already seem to be getting sectarian politics - we don't want it the judiciary too.
The other thing is that one of the women is a Palestinian refugee and she backed up her claims to be let into this country by saying that she was fleeing Hamas. Yet she seems to be marching to celebrate Hamas's terrorist attack on Israel. So should her right to remain in this country also be investigated?
It seems that, wherever muslims are concerned, any investigation reveals things that are highly questionable at the very least.
