Once again Asylum seekers can't apply for Social housing. They can apply if granted permanent residency. ... They can also apply if granted refugee status or humanitarian protection. Thank you Dan

Read the article and find out . It might stop you making a tit of yourself . First paragraph An elderly couple who had just moved into their £200,000 house were horrified to receive a letter from their council suggesting the property could be subject to compulsory purchase and used to house asylum seekers. Then continue to say the Council believed the property to be empty and could force them to sell it . Question how could they force then to sell it? Oh Smart one . Can't you read .I know you have the lack of understanding. Is that because of a illness related to you age

Then get your dictionary and look up ‘ suggested ‘ and ‘ believed ‘. Then put those words into context.

The old couple say they felt the council was trying to force them from the property, forcing and bullying are not unrelated and you still don’t get the DM headline is a side issue it was the intention of the council that was being questioned. The headline in the newspaper is the key issue here for me. They are sensationalising and deliberately creating a false impression. Fairsociety for example fell for it. What has happened here is that the council is following government advice to review properties in its area that appear to be unoccupied and seek to bring them back into use. They identified this house as such an unoccupied (which it probably was at the time the council employee surveyed the street) and sent a letter to the property seeking to work with the owner to bring it back into use. Meanwhile this couple had moved in and wanted to live in their home. When they made the council aware of that, the council said OK of course that is fine. The Daily Mail has deliberately mislead its readers. I think that is pretty outrageous. Well that might be the key issue for you but just about everybody else is annoyed that only asylum seekers were mentioned for being housed that has been the central point all along and not the DM,whilst people complain about the DM it is one of the few not behind a paywall and why it gets used.

I was hoping after 14 pages, that steve would start to understand that I did not copy and paste the thread title from the DM, and that lefty would realise that the Council did not want demolish or CPO the property.

You Continue to lack understanding In other post this thread is a fine example of you lacking understanding. What's the reason you lack understanding in your old Age is it because of Comprehension and Confusion Cognitive impairment disorders like dementia and Alzheimer's disrupt those complex processes. It can manifest as sudden memory loss, impaired motor coordination, and other more subtle thought processes . Or is it just Stupidity?
