What's the carbon footprint of road repairs and how much wear do electric cars cause to the roads, compared to conventional cars?

The main issue is of course weight
A Nissan Note petrol weighs 1040 to 1144 kg
A Nissan Leaf weighs 1580 to 1731 kg the difference in leaf models of course being mainly battery capacity

What's the carbon footprint of road repairs and how much wear do electric cars cause to the roads, compared to conventional cars? Having been involved in road construction and repair it is at best unknown. It may be a night shift with road lights and several vehicles and if someone cancels and forgets to tell everyone else (and I can confirm this has happened) then that is a sizeable carbon footprint with nothing repaired. |
