One man was arrested for what North Wales Police described as an "isolated incident of criminal damage". The protest ended peacefully and the vehicles dispersed by mid afternoon. Some farmers from across the region were reported to have headed to supermarkets aiming to disrupt car parks. What backing of the labour candidate for Rochdale Well, at a guess i think that would be the story on yestarday's BBC as opposed to this morning
This morning the story is they have cast him adrift altogether, having found evidence that his words uttered at a meeting to which a slimy git probably in the pay of the friends of israel organisation recorded and caused support of his candidacy to be abandoned was not an isolated case, but until then, yesterday, it seemed it was ok to keep him in the party despite having rowed back from promoting him as the candidate.

They did the media rounds and supported him initially. The "new information" is the tape going public in which he says that is not the first time he has made those comments publicly. So the question is, in a party that has "weeded out antisemitism", why did (a) nobody challenge him as he was making those comments? (b) why did nobody report him and have him removed before it was too late? Then to make it worse, a candidate for the local elections in Rochdale has been filmed calling Starmer a "war criminal" and saying they are using Labour to get elected so they can "work within". The Tories / right wing media are going to make some serious hay out of this because. Personally, I don't think Muslims / Jews hating each other is exactly news to anybody who knows any of them. It just looks real bad for Starmer when they express it publicly under the Labour badge. If you want you copy & paste your usual "denigration, distortions and insinuations" and try to pretend you don't see this a massive problem for Starmer and Labour. I'm telling you now, the right-wing media are going to be all over this, paying for recordings or sneaking into every meeting they can because this is not going to be an isolated case. |

The entire Labour party need to be permanently suspended, never has this party been staffed with so many misfits as what it now has. I would not let this lot run a dog walking club let alone be in control of Britain and our lives, the thought is mind boggling Rochdale questions still demand answers..... So, what is Labour going to do about anti-Semitism in its Rochdale ranks? The party no doubt hoped that by disowning its conspiracist by-election candidate in the Greater Manchester constituency it could draw a line under this disturbing affair and move on. But these things have a habit of unravelling. After ditching Azhar Ali for making anti-Jewish remarks at a local party meeting, Sir Keir Starmer was forced to suspend another senior figure yesterday.
