Some on here seem to think the annual increased percentage in health spending is just waste.
But every year we are able to treat more diseases. The two new drugs slow the effects of Alzheimer's, but both need expensive testing and treatments.
would you may more NI to get these drugs when you need them?

But what guarantee would I have that any extra funding would be spent on these drugs and not squandered on other things - like Diversity managers on £70k a year?.
If the NHS concentrated more on patient outcomes and less on bureaucracy and virtue signalling I might be more open to the proposal.

If you want the drugs, you need to also pay for my useless army of sub morons...and the price keeps going up
Why we can't have nice things.

Diversity managers, necessary or not are a tiny teeny weeny part of health spending. Grow up.

What about something else that is in the news - Junior Doctors?. What guarantee would I have that any extra spending on the NHS would go on patient treatment and not higher wages for doctors?

Why, if he takes the issue seriously, is he dismissing unnecessary costs?

Why, if he takes the issue seriously, is he dismissing unnecessary costs? A pin drop in the Ocean of NHS spending. I think tax payers money Shouldnt go to above inflation payincrease in State.pension what You think seeing you worry about u necessary cost of public Spending. How dose that benefit the working age person. Who have to retire at a later age to meet that cost.

Dont you think they go hand in hand. not at all - the suggestion was to pay more for new drugs. If all you are going to do is pay the existing Doctors more how does that replace my loss of accessibility to these new drugs?

An ocean it is and I suspect an ocean significantly comprised of many pins when you add them all together. Get rid of all the staff whose work doesn't have the objective of making people better and you will get my support. As long as you treat my concerns about waste and corruption as beneath your dignity, you do not. Until then I consider you to be basically a scammer.
